Any one else out there who likes black cats?

Hi. This is the Food Source, stealing the Clowder's blog for a personal request.

Is any one out there interested in adopting two really friendly, really (really) black girl kitties?

I've adopted/fostered (kidnapped?) two little black cats that I suspect someone dumped in the fields across the street. They are great kitties. One is already sleeping on the bed with me, the other takes naps on my chest once or twice a night. They aren't the least bit intimidated by the rest of the Clowder.

I love black cats, and would love to keep them, but I really don't have the money to give them the vet care they need. I suspect they both need spayed. One of them has a problem with one eye. It doesn't seem to bother her, but it still needs checked out.

I really hate to upset their lives yet again, but they really do need a new, really forever home. If you are interested, please let me know. There is some more information on their Catster page.

Momma knows alllllll about the bridge kitties... She works at the vets.

And the cutting open kitties... some word... exploratory keeps flying from her mouth. Sometimes, you just can't trust daddys.

I don't like other animals, i growl when i see them. And where i live won't allow more than one pet anyway...

Momma says be careful of having those new kitties touch your kitties... because they could pass along disease if they have any, like leuk or fiv... or upper respiratory, if thats what that eye problem is. Those are not good diseases....

We can't let People see this! She took us to the V.E.T. today, and what she had to spend on us there meant no trip to PetsMart! She said that we wouldn't be going to PetsMart anytime soon.

Some peoples can be really mean to kittens! Someone (People says Santa, but I know better. People is a little naive.) dumped poor little Gonzo in our front yard the week before Christmas, and we found out at the V.E.T. today that Gonzo is just now barely eight weeks old!

We hope you are able to find them really good furever homes quick, before you fall in love with them like we did Gonzo, who is a black and white kitten.

Mozart and Gonzo!

Those little black kitties are so cute. It's great that you were able to rescue them. We hope the find a permanent home soon, but take comfort knowing that they will be cared for in the meantime.

Oh my, what beautiful cats. We agree with TT. We cat lovers are very generous when it comes to helping others take care of strays.

Good luck with finding them a forever home! We'll be keeping them in our purrayers. Please let us know if you need anything while they're in your care. Mama has a biiiiiiiig soft spot for black kitties.

Oh, I hope those black kitties find a good home. My nephew is a black kitty. He was found at a football stadium when he was tiny, about 6 weeks old. Now he's a great big giant kitty! I'm a rescued kitty, too, but my people signed some paper that promised that I would be the only kitty in my new house. It sure gets lonely with only the anoles to watch through the see-through wall.

Awwww, I just lost my lovely old black cat Salem a few months ago - so sadly missed.

Black cats are bootiful :)

That was so kind of you to take them in. As Tesla said, be careful of letting them interact with your kitties until they are tested and vaccinated.

Good luck in finding them forever homes! Are there any rescue groups in your area, or even shelters that give out discount coupons for spay/neuter? Some of these discounts are incredible if you can find them. And you might be able to find a rescue group that will help you find homes for them if you will foster them. Most groups have a lack of foster homes.
